Executive Federal Resumes and SES

A Federal Resume is now the standard for applying to Federal jobs. As an experienced executive, you need a carefully crafted Federal Resume demonstrating your record of productivity and leadership. If written well, a Federal Resume provides an opportunity to showcase your qualifications and achievements. However, because of the way Federal Resumes are screened and reviewed, a Federal Resume is generally structured differently and includes details uncommon to those present in a typical resume.

For entry into the Federal government's Senior Executive Service, Executive Core Qualifications (ECQs) will accompany a Federal Resume. In addition, some agencies and departments may require these for other types of positions. ECQs consist of five core qualifications elements: (1) Leading Change; (2) Leading People; (3) Results Driven; (4) Business Acumen; and (5) Building Coalitions/Communications. Your ECQs can be used to apply for multiple SES Federal positions.

Our proprietary skill analysis questionnaire (SkillNet™) will draw out key areas of your background and accomplishments. Next, our executive writing strategies will arm you with a compelling Executive Federal Resume and persuasive ECQs to leverage your past achievements for a new set of challenges and professionally highlight your qualifications, from leadership and strategic thinking to managing multiple resources and producing outstanding results.
